TS Class of 2010

With our “Summer Break” themed month coming to an end we thought it was only appropriate to put together a TS Yearbook to remember everyone by. Remember (or not, as the case may be!) those yearbook predictions about which of your classmates were "Most Likely To Succeed" or "Most Likely To Be Famous" or "Most Likely To Be In Prison On Drug Charges Before The Age Of 25"?

WLS & ETSC is looking for a list of "TS Employees Most Likely To ..."s. The Yearbook is posted on the cube wall across from the printer counter. Please contribute by adding your own “Most Likely” caption!

SUMMER MOVIE FUN!

Our Summer Break fun continues as ETSC/WLS host a BYOL (Bring your own lunch, of course!) movie this week on Wednesday and Thursday, June 9 and 10. The movie “Vacation”, starring Chevy Chase, will run from 12:00-1:00 in the Alder room. Mark those FirstClass calendars!

In addition to our lunchtime movie, are you aware of the outdoor summer movies that are shown at various locations in our neighborhoods? Most are FREE and family-friendly.

Who doesn’t love warm summer nights and sitting out beneath the stars? Whether referred to as “Cinema under the Stars” or “Movies in the Park”, it is quite a scene as folks haul blankets, low-back lawn chairs, movie munchies, sleeping bags, and kids in pajamas to enjoy a movie by the summer moonlight. These movies are projected on a building wall or giant inflatable screen for too much summer fun!

Outdoor summer movie locations include:

Moonlight Movies in Renton (at Coulon Beach)
Summer Outdoor Movies in the Park (Downtown Bellevue Park)
West Seattle’s Summer Outdoor Movies on the Wall in The Junction
Auburn’s Summer Sounds & Cinema
Fremont “Almost Free” Outdoor Movies
Burien Friday Night Movies
Tukwila Summer Outdoor Cinema Series

Check out the PDF for the dates, titles, and locations of movies being shown in your neighborhood.

School’s Out for SUMMER!

Since the weather outside is frightful we are going to pretend that it is summer inside! “Summer Break” is June’s theme and focus for experiencing JOY here in Technology Services!

The Ed Tech Support Center and Washington Learning Source has planned a number of fun activities for you throughout the month of June. To kick off the month, we would like you to continue to share about yourselves, as it is a JOY becoming better acquainted with each other!

A large blank poster has replaced the Margarita Ville poster on the cubicle wall. On it, you are encouraged to share about your favorite summer break or summer vacation. Share your pictures, vignettes, etc. We expect to experience much JOY in viewing the finished collage!
